Recently named executive creative consultant of Def Jam Recordings, Snoop Dogg announced that his forthcoming first project for the label — Snoop Dogg Presents THE ALGORITHM — is set to arrive November 19.
The project is slated to feature artists from label’s past, present, and future. “There’s so much talent on this record,” said Snoop, “so many styles of music, it breaks the algorithm. Right now, the algorithm is telling us you have to rap this way, you have to sound this way, but they’re not telling you how it’s supposed to feel. My algorithm is going to give you a feeling, not a sound.”
Following the first single, “Big Subwoofer” from Mount Westmore (the collective of Snoop, Ice Cube, E-40, and Too $hort), Snoop headed East to engage in some “Murder Music” with Jadakiss, Benny The Butcher, and Busta Rhymes.
