SNL Stages "Impeachment Town Hall" with Maya Rudolph as Kamala Harris and Larry David as Bernie Sanders

BY ZO • SEPT 30 2019

Hosted by Woody Harrelson with Billie Eilish as musical guest, the season opener was anchored by impeachment jabs from the get. Of course, Alec Baldwin’s Trump commenced the cold open, but it all crystallized in a mock-up town hall with Maya Rudolph portraying “fun aunt” Kamala Harris, Larry David reprising his disgruntled Bernie Sanders, Kate McKinnon as energetic-despite-the-odds Elizabeth Warren, and Woody Harrelson as a shamelessly creepy Joe Biden.

The sketch also marked the debuts of two new SNL cast members with Bowen Yang and Chloe Fineman portraying a pay-you-to-vote-for him Andrew Yang and an astrally-projected Marianne Williamson, respectively.
