Fresh off of Sacha Jenkins’ recent Wu-Tang Clan documentary for Showtime, Of Mics And Men, Hulu has a new development in its dramatic series. Coming to the platform September 4, Wu-Tang: An American Saga unveils its first trailer.
The one-minute clip features the origin story of Wu-Tang’s founding members. Heads can see rappers Dave East and Joey Bada$$ portray Method Man and Inspectah Deck, respectively. Pre-Rap fame portrayals of RZA, Raekwon, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Meth’, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and The Rebel I.N.S. are presented in brief. Not included in the first trailer are U-God or Masta Killa. The song playing is The Charmells’ “As Long As I’ve Got You,” a 1966 sample deployed by RZA for breakthrough Wu single “C.R.E.A.M.”
