The last episode of 2DopeRadio happened over a month ago. However, there were also mixes spotlighting J. Cole’s 2018 run as well as Jay-Z & Rick Ross’ collaborations in between, on top of the normal activities I do to keep a roof over my skull. So, naturally, I got burnt out and needed a brief respite from the turntables.

However, this particular episode has been on my mind for several months, especially since I’ve grown to hold J Dilla in such a high regard in the latest chapter of my life. I wanted to do a tribute for the episode, but I also wanted it to be longer than the typical episodes. Fortunately, with the help of episode 2 guest Donwill, we crafted a two-hour “special” of remixes, mashups, samples, blends, and everything in between. Per usual, we’ve also added regular playlists for the show as well.
