A Tribe Called Quest suffered an insurmountable loss in 2016 when beloved MC Malik “Phife Dawg” Taylor passed away from complications stemming from Type II diabetes.
Of course, the Five-Foot Assassin’s wife Deisha Head-Taylor, mother Cheryl Boyce-Taylor and his other close friends were also devastated by his untimely death and struggled with the nearly impossible task of moving forward without him.
But, as the saying goes, the show must go on. On Friday (September 3), Phife Dawg’s estate unveiled another single from Phife Dawg’s forthcoming posthumous Forever album called “French Kiss Trois” featuring Redman and J. Dilla’s younger brother Illa J.
The Potatohead People-produced track serves as the follow-up to “French Kiss Deux,” which arrived in May.
