A wrongful death lawsuit against the hospital that treated Prince for a fentanyl overdose has been dismissed.

According to the Associated Press, the lawsuit has been “quietly dismissed in recent months,” with the report going on to say that its dismissial suggests “family members have reached settlements with defendants including the Minnesota doctor who saw Prince in the weeks before his death and the Illinois hospital that treated him for an opioid overdose seven days before he died.”

Prince’s family filed the lawsuit back in 2018. There claims made against Dr. Michael Schulenberg, the doctor who treated the artist in the weeks before his death; Walgreens, which filed prescriptions for Prince; and Trinity Medical Center, the Illinois hospital where he was treated for an opioid overdose a week before he did.
