Mark McCormick, the father of the late rapper Mac Miller, spoke to a crowd at Blue Slide Park in Pittsburgh (the same park the late rapper named his first studio album after) to commemorate the one-year anniversary of his son’s death this past Saturday.

During the event, McCormick also addressed the arrest of Cameron James Pettit, the drug dealer who allegedly supplied Miller with the fentanyl-laced drugs that killed him.

“So they finally caught the motherfucker that sold him the drugs that killed him,” McCormick said. “And we find some comfort in that. Many of us [when] were young — including me — experimented with drugs. But it’s a different fucking world out there. All it takes is a little stone, a little tiny stone, of fentanyl and cocaine and then you’re dead. Drugs are being laced with fentanyl — all kinds of drugs. The one thing I would say to you is don’t take the risk, it’s just not worth it. It’s just not worth it.”
