Little Brother’s 1st Music Video In Nearly A Decade Celebrates Their Magical Reunion

Little Brother delighted fans this week with a surprise album. Giving people less than 24 hours notice, Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh delivered May The Lord Watch on Tuesday (August 20). It marked the first L.B. project since 2010, and the group’s fifth LP featured the blessing of founding third member 9th Wonder.
M.T.L.W. marks an award tour for ‘Te and Pooh, as well as the group’s story. The collection of 10 songs is mortared by a series of interludes that features Questlove, Joe Scudda, and Peter Rosenberg, among others. Callbacks to The Minstrel Show‘s UBN (the group’s spoof of defunct network UPN) and affiliate “Percy Miracles” calls back to the mid-2000s where this group earned cult status among Hip-Hop Heads. At the end of an exciting week, the first video from the LP, for the song “Black Magic (Make It Better)” ices the cake.
