Amazon bestseller “Get To It, Get With It, Get Through It” by Garrick Wooten skyrocketed as the number one new release in “New Age New Thought” and “Mens Inspirational Spirituality” categories. Wooten, an HBCU Alumni has a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. He has also obtained his Master’s Degree in education from Central State University. As a proud member of the Que Fraternity Wooten strives to uplift and inspire inner city youth.
The author spent the major part of his growing years in and out of juvenile facilities, adult jails, boot camps, and prison. But he has completely changed his life, and plays a major role in helping children similar to him do the same.
In a recent interview, Wooten stated, “It is possible to achieve anything as long as one works hard and have a strong belief in that. I addressed everything that I was doing wrong as I began my reflective journey. I could realize the true nature of most of the perceptions I had in my life. Those were the results of the post-traumatic stress disorder I suffered, because of the troubled neighborhood where I grew up. So, I had to reprogram myself for my mental and physical survival. It was very vital, and I started working harder with a strong belief in the goal I had in mind. As I started doing that, everything began to streamline. It was amazing to observe how much being true to the self, humbleness, and sacrifice can do for a person.”
Wooten is a pillar of what accountability, dedication and black excellence looks like. “Get To It, Get With It, Get Through It” has been recognized by several celebrities as a must read including Swae Lee, Blac Chyna, Drake, Young Bleu, PNB Rock, Tyga, Saweetie and many others.
“You must dream things so that you can do those. You should try to face the sunshine always. It will make the shadow fall behind you. The main point is that if you are among the winners, you can also win. One must always try to discover one’s inner strength. It is vital in the current pandemic situation. The pandemic helped to build my character allowing me time to know my strengths and weaknesses. It helped to slow down unnecessary activities and focus on real things in life. And, to me, it is mental health awareness,” Wooten stated.
Get To It, Get With It, Get Through It” gives readers meaningful support with resources for self-development. The book includes many thought-provoking questions that help in achieving dreams through identification, taking up, and overcoming problems. It takes readers through a journey so grabbing, that one cannot stop till the end. The motivational book also includes an audio version. It is a great book for building confidence and self-reflection with immense power between its pages. The book is sure to influence the Gen Z’ers and the youth positively.
