Although he isn’t releasing music at the same clip as he did during the first decade of the 2000’s, Fashawn is still very much active–dropping The Ecology in 2015 and helping Mass Appeal introduce their “Starting 5” roster to the masses with various tours, freestyles and projects.
Now, as tensions continue to grow and the current socio-political climate in the United States climbs to its peak, the Fresno emcee shares his new song, “Born In AmeriKKKa,” as he articulates the disturbing reality of injustice and systematic oppression against Black, Indigenous, and people of color.
“Some of you may not like what I have to say but, that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be said,” Fash said as the song hit streaming services.
