As is the case every year, Valentine’s Day helps birth a plethora of love/lust-inspired records from artist’s all over the world. And with the latest drop, we’re off to New York with Erick Sermon‘s new single, “That Girl.”
Taken off his upcoming album, Vernia (his grandmother’s name), the Green-Eyed Bandit taps Big K.R.I.T. and North Carolina-based singer Ricco Barrino for a song that places southern girls on the highest of pedestals.
“I wanted to give the women a song they can feel proud and confident in, it’s how I was raised, by strong smart women in my family,” Sermon says. “With all that’s going on with horrible things being brought to the light from years past. I wanted the women of the world to know that old green eyes is still thinking about them and they are better than ever, I got their back.”
