Those ongoing Entercom cuts have created a seismic shift inside the hallways of Rhythmic Oldies KRBQ (Q102.1)/San Francisco, as RAMP confirms that the station has parted company with its drivetime bookends: morning personality Chuy Gomez and afternoon talent Victor “Big Daddy” Zaragoza have exited. Both gentlemen are popular 30-year Bay Area radio pros who started working for Q102.1 in April 2018.
Gomez (left) famously spent over 20 years in morning drive on KMEL/San Francisco. For the past 25 years he has also been the lead host on California Music Channel (CMC-TV).
Zaragoza (right) is a Bay Area native who has also worked at KMEL, as well as KYLD (Wild 94.9) and KBLX/San Francisco. He also put in quality time at All-News KCBS-AM/FM and Sports-Talk KGMZ (95.7 The Game)/San Francisco.
