Brotha Blanks is an Artist, Writer and more. He is the founder of Black Abolition Movement for the Mind Inc (BAM 4 the Mind Inc.). BAM for the Mind, www.bam4themind, is dedicated to the uplifting and enlightenment of the community and people as a grassroots poetic 501c3 organization, outreaching to all. Brotha Blanks has served the Chicago land area for many years as a modern-day Abolitionist, community organizer, advocate for our youth, and empowering adults alike, through the arts and advocacy. In addition, he has used his gift and talents to foster a difference in communities, and many political climates and settings.
His accomplishments include:
Guest speaking and performing at over 100 different schools, community organizations, city events, and in many other capacities. A few places include Chicago State University, Malcolm X College of Chicago, Meager Evers College of Brooklyn New York, Nuyorican Poets Café Lower eastside New York, Oak Park High School Reunion Laurel MS, Hollywood Showcase in Los Angeles CA, Black Book Tour of East St. Louis Mo, New York City with Minister Akbar Muhammad, and the Mall of the Million Man March in Washington DC.
He has received many awards for his contribution in his community work, and efforts.
