For the second time in three years, Lil Uzi Vert dropped out of the Soundset festival. Even that potentially disastrous news couldn’t dampen the mood for the more than 30,000 people who pulled up to Soundset 2019, which went down in Minnesota on Saturday, May 26th. It’s the 12th year of Rhymesayers’ popular hip-hop festival.
This year’s festival featured a number of A-listers, including Lil’ Wayne, SZA, Run The Jewels, Black Star, G-Eazy, DMX, Bas, and more. Lil Uzi Vert was replaced by two new stars: DaBaby and Lil’ Nas X. There was also plenty of local talent represented, including Atmosphere, deM atlaS, Sa-Roc, and more.
