The Beastie Boys have announced a new compilation album that features some of the group’s biggest hits.
Titled Beastie Boys Music, the compilation will include “So What’Cha Want,” “Paul Revere,” “Sabotage,” “Brass Monkey” and other classics. According to a press release via Pitchfork, the album “is a companion piece” to the group’s 2020 film Beastie Boys Story and 2018’s Beastie Boys Book. The album will be released digitally, on CD, and as a 2xLP, on October 23.
The tracklist for the album can be viewed below.
In related news, Public Enemy’s new album, What You Gonna Do When The Grid Goes Down, will feature guest appearances from Beastie Boys’ Mike D and Ad-Rock. Earlier this year, the pair talked about how their sophomore album, Paul’s Boutique, was outshined by De La Soul’s 3 Feet High and Rising and Public Enemy’s It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, all of which were released around the same time.
