About the readers/performers:
Juliana Delgado Lopera is an award-winning Colombian writer/educato /oral-historian based in San Francisco. The recipient of the 2014 Jackson Literary award, and a finalist of the Clark-Gross Novel award, she’s the author of ¡Cuéntamelo! an illustrated bilingual collection of oral histories by LGBT Latin@ immigrants awarded the Regen Ginaa Grant from Galería de la Raza and a 2014 National Queer Arts Festival Grant from the Queer Cultural Center. Her work has been published in Four Way Review, The Bold Italic, Weird Sister, Revista Canto, Transfer Magazine, Raspa Magazine, Black Girl Dangerous, and SF Weekly among others. She’s performed in countless events around the Bay Area including Action Fiction!, Red Light Lit, Beast Crawl, Lit Quake and lectured at Wayward Writers, SFSU, 826 Valencia. She’s the executive director of RADAR Productions.
Emmanuel Saadia is the author of Trekonomics: The Economics of Star Trek. His work on Trekonomics has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Business Insider. Manu Saadia is a contributing writer for Fusion.net.
Carlos Allende is the author of Love, or the Witches of Windward Circle: A Horror Farce.
Roberto F. Santiago is a poet, translator, and lead singer in a solo act who produces his own music, and dances rips into his pants. Roberto is the recipient of the 2011 Alfred C. Carey Prize for Poetry. Roberto also writes and produces his own music, and has been known to dance until he rips his pants. His first full-length collection of poems, Angel Park, was released April 2015 by Lethe Press. His poetry has been published in such anthologies/journals as Assaracus - Sibling Rivalry (2014), CURA: A Literary Magazine of Art & Action(2014), Hypothetical: A Review of Everything Imaginable(2014), and The Waiting Room Reader: Stories to Keep you Company - CavanKerry (2013).
Wendy Newman is an author, and a dating, sex and relationship coach. Her book 121 First Dates: How to Succeed at Online Dating, Fall in Love and Live Happily Ever After (Really!) has been praised by Access Hollywood, The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, Glamour, Self, and more. She leads workshops, including Dating by Design, The Dating Workshop, and Understanding Men, Power & Partnership.
