Event Description

MATTSKI The Deepest househeads have been following this underground San Jo DJ for almost 30 years, so we had to bring his West Coast supa-soulful sound to the surface - once again - to be beloved by all. While many have been following his dancefloor remixes on his The Rock the Box Show, you can hear him live and aboveground Just. This. Night. Mattski has been collecting records since the age of 8 years old. He started to dj underground dance music at the age of 13 and started playing in the clubs at 16. Raised in Eastside San Jose Califas, he has played for Fashion Shows to Club Venues since the 1980's. Starting a short residency at Stargaze, Club Moda, The Original Kabuki Theater Fashion shows and inspired by East Coast and European dance music, Mattski was educated by early 80's West Coast latino disco and high-energy club dj's, mobile dj crews, and clubs like Studio 47, One Step Beyond and many more at that time. Currently, Mattski is creating and producing mixes with his brotha Neter Supreme aka Original Drum; a monthly loft party called Body Music - Loft 22 (Oakland); and various projects with fellow friends and dj's Patrick Wilson, Soul Luciani and Rahiem Jihad. Heavily influenced by funk, soul, hip-hop, disco and house, Marky's sound caters to the discerned dance floor. His mixes, known for their global flavor and crossing genres seamlessly, have created quite a buzz with music lovers.
