Producers are given blues songs and drum sounds (see myspace.com/phillipdrummond blog to download the songs and drums for free!) and asked to make beats out of them going head to head tournament style.
The Blues battle has a sample flip round, sample pack (drums, mp3’s, etc.), and diggin round (groups of 4 producers will be assigned to dig up a song from Europe, Africa, South American or Europe). There will also be an instant death round for all competitors who are not in the main battle and they will be competing for the 16th spot!
