Event Description

SambaFunk! Carnaval Explosion w/ King Theo is the Bay Area's dance wellness funk fitness activity for adults of all ages. SambaFunk! is more than a dance class, its a dance experience. Sunday sessions include formal dance technique training, dance history, singing, rhythmic training, across the floor dancing, live drumming and community building activities. 

SambaFunk! Sunday, commonly refereed to as "Samba Church" is an powerful way to end the weekend and start the week. Classes are held in the large and beautifully naturally light second floor studio of the historic Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts. SambaFunk! Artistic Director King Theo Aythan Williams leds the dance instruction and the FunkTyme Playahs provide live drums each and every sunday.
