HIP HOP CELEBRATION ~ LIVE BAND with DJS, EMCEES, RAP BATTLES, CYPHERS & STARS This Show is Free Every Sunday Nigh *** RETURN OF THE CYPHER *** Return of the Cypher is a free live Hip-Hop show every Sunday at the Boom Boom Room that features amazing local freestyle artists taking the stage in improvised sessions, known as cyphers, where emcees, singers, beatboxers, and musicians collaborate in a spontaneous combustion of pure skill. DJ Kevvy Kev, A legendary talent in the Bay Area, Kev has been rocking the decks for everyone from Wu-Tang to Camp Lo to DAS EFX and the list goes on. THIS SHOW is always FREE Admission *** If you don t know by now.. Return of the Cypher is where Hip Hop culture resides in the SF Bay Area,. Our brand has become synonymous with organic, top-tier open mic cyphers.. these freestyle sessions are open to the public; Our in-house Get Down Band and songstress Jenna Medina create the soundscape for these cyphers; our event also features a traditional dance party segment commandeered by DJ Kevvy Kev. Hip Hop legends are literally known for stopping by unannounced.. so keep your third eye peeled!!.
