DJ QBERT is widely regarded as the most highly skilled scratching DJ that has walked the planet. His 20-year career of innovating the playing field of DJs and Turntablists worldwide has set off a generation of disc jockeys who are now regarded as musicians and not just DJs who play records. Often referred to as the Jimi Hendrix of the turntables, known to make them sing in complex and unimaginable ways, DJ Qbert has invented the most scratching techniques and musical innovations of any DJ in history. QBert is credited for being the world ambassador of the DJ as a musician and turning the turntable into a respected musical instrument. After finishing second in the ’08 and third in the ’09 ABDJ voting, the legendary Bay Area Turntablist earned the spoils of the prestigious title. He is also on a list of 35 DJs being considered as “The Greatest DJ Of All Time” in Mix Mag’s Online Poll.
