Event Description

This Thursday we present a Latin-flavored "Peaches" with sexy serious crate-digger DJs Similak Chyld and ThatGirl!

Enjoy a drink special like a Bellini, a Harlem martini (dare your friends to drink it!! its gnarly!) or our famous Juan-on-Juan special (shot of Patron with a Corona... for a measly $9).

About the DJs
Sabrina Tsang AKA DJ Similak Chyld is known for moving dancefloors from San Francisco to New York and Japan with her unique fusion of hip-hop, soul, reggae, breaks, Latin, and house music. She has always been a music aficionado, having grown up with piano lessons before switching to the alto saxophone. Her jazz ensemble toured extensively throughout Asia, but she soon traded in the sax for a pair of turntables and a mixer.

Similak Chyld has played alongside such renowned artists as Wu Tang Clan, Jurassic 5, Z-Trip, Radar, Mix Master Mike, Little Louie Vega, Antibalas, Chico Mann, David Harness, Goldie, Disco D, UFO!, the Triple Threat DJs, Rob Swift, Lyrics Born, Joyo Velarde, P.E.A.C.E (Freestyle Fellowship), Faust and Shortee, JBoogie's Dubtronic Science, Blue Sirkut (Karl Denson's Tiny Universe), Jedi (Digable Planets), the 4oneFunk DJs, Oakland Faders (Scion Mixtape Winners), RedWine DJs, and Romanowski.

Since 1997, ThatGirl has been moving dancefloors with an exquisite blend of Hip-Hop nostalgia, neo and classic soul, broken beats, soulful house, rocksteady breaks and jazzy grooves. Hailing straight out of San Jose, she has rocked crowds from coast to coast while still maintaining an organic, original appeal. "I love painting musical soundscapes of raw emotion.....playing sets that convey pure feeling, where time becomes nonexistent and the spirit becomes helplessly captivated by the groove". -ThatGirl

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV.
