Event Description

Non Stop Bhangra returns with one of a kind night bringing together the sounds of Bay Area Hip Hop into the mix with the energy of Bhangra for a special Thanks giving weekend Get Down. Laid back West Coast Hip-Hop laced with a heavy dose of Bhangra & Dhol beats, keeping heads bobbing and shoulders bouncing on the dance floor to close out 2015 with a Bang! This will be the last one of the year and what better way to celebrate than bringing two of our favorite sounds together for one a kind night full of love and bangin good vibes. Come dance off that thanksgiving grub and get down with your family and friends!

As Always, the night will kick off with the ritual Bhangra dance lesson followed with vibrant dance performances by the beautiful Dholrhythms Dance Company. The Flow will continue with Seti X and Deuce Eclipse (Bang Data) coming together for for an early live set. Also gracing the stage for the first time at Non Stop Bhangra during the live set will be the one and only Bay Area heavyweight Zumbi (Zion I). We are huge fans and so stoked to have him in the mix.

Non Stop Bhangra's residents DJ Jimmy Love, Rav-E, and DJ Mistry will be on 1's and 2's with live Dhol (drumming) in the mix by our own Pavit Deol to spice up the night. In addition, making an appearance for the first time at NSB, one of North America's best Bhangra DJ's, special guest headliner DJ KSR from Toronto, Canada. Beyond sound and dance, Non Stop Bhangra caters to your eyes all night with visuals by DJ Amar, live painting by Marcus Murray, and photography by Odell Hussey!

Cole Lumpkin Moves With the Music, Letting Life Shape Every Note

Cole Lumpkin doesn’t create from a distance. He creates from inside the moment. As a New York City native, his artistry reflects motion, curiosity, and constant self-interrogation. Music for Lumpkin isn’t something you step into once everything is figured out. It’s something you carry with you, refine on the move, and allow to grow alongside real life. A self-taught…See More

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV. Two kids not much older than him were on the screen — backwards clothes, fearless energy, commanding the world. It was Kris Kross performing “Jump.”And in that moment, something clicked. It wasn’t just the beat.It wasn’t just the crowd. It was the power. From that day forward, Prentice didn’t just listen to hip-hop — he became it.He sharpened his pen studying legends.…See More
