Event Description

Original Sessions began as a traveling NYC film and music series in 2002, with its home base at the Times Square Arts Center. Thereafter, Original Sessions launched the OS Art House as a venue to host artists, musicians, and filmmakers. Original Sessions now sponsors Rah Rah Rah, a monthly music and art series with a focus on rock, hip hop, and visual and handcrafted arts.

Rah Rah Rah specifically focuses on rock and hip-hop because both are American cultural creations. Both were thought to be passing fads, but have influenced the world in immeasurable ways. These art forms are global phenomena that keep giving birth to sub-genres and global artistic movements.

This is the first Rah Rah Rah in San Francisco-and certainly not the last. This month's event showcases artists doing: Bossa Nova, Cuban Surf Rock, Progressive Hip Hop, and Rock/Pop.

A filmmaker, visual artist, and 2 jewelry designers work will also be showcased and sold at the event.

-Triple Ave Ft. DJ Scotty Doo & Christine Banks (Progressive Hip-Hop)
-Bray (Rock/Pop/Visual)
-Shannon Bryant (Bossa Nova)
-The Cuban Cowboys (Cuban Surf Rock)

Featuring graphic/visual arts, jewelry and clothing by: R.H.A, Meesh Meesh Designs and Lioness Jewelry

Happy Gregorian New Year good peoples.
This is gonna be an ill show with some really dope visual art, jewelry, clothing and a variety of genres.
As for us? We're going "experimental."
Our set will feature some fly turntablism from DJ Scotty Doo, and soulful violinings ala Christine Banks. This is our first show of 2009 in the Bay Area and we want all of our peoples to be with us as we start the New Year with progress in mind.
