SUMMARY:Native Elements
DESCRIPTION:SAT - 4/24 | Native Elements\nA Bay Area's Top Reggae Band
  · 10pm show / $10 door til 10pm $15 after\n\nSan Francisco's reggae
favorite Native Elements (now in their 10th year as a cohesive unit) n
ever fail to bring positivity and niceness to all of their music gathe
rings. As recording artist's they spin a curious fabric of lovers rock
, roots and conscious dancehall wrapped cozily in a bright \"frisco-pi
no\" treatment. A family before anything else Native Elements strives
to make their show a warm and inviting experience for all; young and o
ld, blue and green and everything in between.\n\nNative Elements are a
collective of musicians and singers who have been performing professi
onally in different settings for over a decade. The culturally diverse
music scene of the San Francisco Bay Area has fueled their creative f
low from the start. After explorations with rock, funk, blues, and r&b
, Native Elements has set their repertoire firmly in the roots-reggae
tradition. They combine their colorful influences into an amalgamation
of positive, vibrant music that speaks from the heart.\n\nThe magneti
c music of Native Elements has been emanating from Bay Area clubs and
outdoor festivals, for many years with Humboldts world renowned \"Regg
ae on the River\", San Franciscos \"Reggae in the Park\", and the \"Mo
nterey Bay ReggaeFest\" festivals being the most recent. They have sha
red the stage with a host of world renowned acts including Bunny Waile
r, Burning Spear, Culture, Toots & the Maytals, Black Uhuru, Pato Bant
on, Lucky Dube, Eek a Mouse, Yellowman, Big Mountain, and Gregory Isaa
cs among many others. Recently, featured on the DEBUT movie soundtrack
, Native Elements has been reaching audiences around the globe with th
eir conscious music. Their contagious harmonies and powerful rhythms h
ave won over praise from musicians, fans and critics alike. Even some
of the most discriminating Jamaican ears have found Native Elements' s
ound to be as authentic and genuine as their staple of music back home
.\n\nIn 2009 the Native Elements Band released their third album “Si
gn of the Times” which features The Mighty Diamonds on the title tra
ck. The diversity of singing and melodic universal rhythms bring forth
a fresh element of native, roots reggae to the Bay Area music scene.\
