Event Description

You are all invited to this summer’s hottest new music event, Higher Vision, a one-day grassroots “Community Activation and Awareness Gathering.” Featuring the return to Northern California of reggae superstar Burning Spear for the first time in years! The festival will treat guests to a unique experience with a diverse selection of top touring artists, including 2012 Grammy Winners for Best World Music Album, Tinariwen. Also on the bill are electro-funk masters The Motet performing their highly acclaimed Grateful Dead tribute: Funk is Dead, International Dub sound wizard GAUDI, Fanna-Fi-Allah Sufi Qawwali, local favorites the Jug Dealers and Ali Weiss, and much more. Speakers include Kevin Danaher, founder of Global Exchange and The Green Festival, and Foster and Kimberly Gamble, producers of the groundbreaking new documentary Thrive. There will be sustainable and progressive vendors, gourmet and organic food, and environmental awareness education in a fun, family-friendly setting at the Somoma County Fairgrounds, known for hosting quality music events. We’ll be announcing more artists and attractions both on the field and in the halls in the coming weeks so stay tuned. Tickets are already selling fast and this show is expected to Sell Out.
