Every Thursday night at Paradiso in Oakland comes a new weekly called FUNKY SITUATION. This is a nostalgic event where people can come boogie to some real Funk, Soul, and Rare groove. A place where we can play top funky, not top 40. We cater to that crowd of people that can respect the likes of James Brown, Sammy Davis Jr, The J.B.s, Lynn Collins, Bobby Byrd, Stevie Wonder, Gil Scott Heron, Jimi Hendrix, Ray Charles, Gladys Knight, Rufus Thomas, and everyone in-between.
