Event Description

blasthaus presents The Future with
FLYING LOTUS, KODE9, THE BUG

blasthaus presents The Future. It's hard to imagine something more futuresonic than a lineup like this. Start things off with a mastermind not heard since the likes of Squarepusher or Autechre, Los Angelino and Warp Record's new poster boy FLYING LOTUS aka FlyLo soared into the spotlight last year as one of the most talked about emerging acts. His experimental post-hiphop electronic mayhem will hit your body in a way that can't be defined. Then take 2, dubstep icon KODE9 who's one of the genre's most creative and versatile practitioners, gritty and minimal simultaneously. His projects on his much regarded label Hyperdub have him collaborating with everyone from MASSIVE ATTACK's Daddy G to Burial. (ie if you want to know where dub is in the twenty-first century, you need to be here!) Number 3 in this triangular session is Ninjatune sensation THE BUG, who's gritty, bass-heavy assault on the future will be in full-effect as well. Just check out his wicked video and get the picture. This is one of the most exciting events we've put together in a long while, so looking forward to seeing you there!

Nayan Raina Turns a Late-Night Feeling Into a No. 1 Hit on Apple Music With “Phone”

There’s something quietly universal about staring at a phone screen, waiting for a message that never comes. For artist Nayan that feeling became the foundation for “Phone,” a hypnotic hip-hop duet with Yesha Sagar that has now reached No. 1 on Apple Music Video Chart.…See More
