RULES AND REGULATIONS
Crush Congregation Presents: GIFTED Beat Battle will be taking place at the Fat Cat Music House and Lounge, November 30th 2012. If you are chosen to participate in this battle there are a few rules that you must follow.

...

All beats are to be no longer than 1 minute long.
You must show up on the day of the battle at 8:30 sharp to check in. The battle will start at 9:30.
There is a $10.00 entry fee.
All music must be brought on a playable C.D. We are not responsible for you C.D working on not. It is a good idea to bring more than one C.D just in case. We will not be using Thumb Drives to play your beats from.
Remixed songs and use of Lyrics is prohibited. We want to hear you beats without lyrical content. You may however use word samples.
You must use beats you have made yourself.
There will be 2 judges chosen by myself as well as the Third judge, the crowd.
This is a 21 and over event.
This supposed to be fun. Meaning no drama. Network, meet people, have a good time!

The format will go as follows.

First round: You will play 2 beats that you have made. You may use anything to make your beat. The winner will be chosen to move on to the Second Round.

Second Round: You must use one of the following songs that are provided for samples in your beat. You may use whatever drums, bass sound, word samples, ect that you would like. If you don’t have the sample used in you Second Round song you will be disqualified. If there is more than one song in the file to choose from, you may use one or all of the songs for samples. The winner will be chosen to move on to the Third and Final Round.

In the Final Round, you will be playing 2 beats that you have made. The winner of the battle will receive $100.00 dollars cash money! Second place will receive some special prizes as well.

There will be a Second Battle as well
This battle will be an impromptu, on the spot beat battle. The night of the event, we will provide 2 participants a Sample to use. You must take this sample and make your beat on the spot while the show is going on. You will have 3 hours to finish up. You must bring whatever equipment you need to make this beat. There will be a sample pack of drum loops and sounds that you may use for your song. You dont have to use this pack. You MUST use the sample provided. The winner of this battle will receive some special prizes as well a $50.00.
