Event Description

OAKLAND, CA. NOV 16, 2012
If you’ve been looking for an evening to stave off the cold weather, come sidle up with warm bodies and check out what the ocean winds blew into town for the Coastal Melodies show at Awaken Café.

Headlining the event is Emily Moldy, a Bay Area talent destined for greatness. With her raspy, soulful vocals backed by an upbeat and lighthearted piano, she’ll make you reminisce on nostalgic days long past.

The evening opens for them with Native Sibling, an Americana folk-duo, possessing a tuning similar to Iron & Wine, with a solemn vocal that manages to maintain a touch of youthfulness.

Up next is Yassou Benedict, originally from New York and now a San Francisco gem, this 4-piece rock band will lull you with their breathless vocals and tightly-composed emotional melodies that are not to be missed!

Then Treehouse Orchestra, taking the stage with its 7 members to treat us to their musical stylings, ranging from funky soul to sultry jazz & completed with soothing vocal harmonies.

This event is Friday, November 16, 2012 at Awaken Café at 1429 Broadway, Oakland, CA. $5 at the door.
