 licious Soundsystem takes it to another level with live percussionists
  and guest musicians this September 28th at Mighty for an exclusive 3 
 hour set of dancefloor bliss. 2012 has been a huge year for the Afrol
 icious project with their second release on ESL Music coming out to cr
 itical acclaim and the band touring California and Colorado and playin
 g the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater and DJng Outside Lands Music Fe
 stival and Burning Man. Afrolicious began as a weekly party in San Fr
 ancisco and now encompasses a full 12 piece live band as well as the D
 J duo of Pleasuremaker & Señor Oz. Their inclusive unique blend of el
 ectronic music with live organic instrumentation and Afro, Latin and T
 ropical influences are highly addictive and have moved crowds at legen
 dary venues from New York City's Cielo to Rio de Janeiro's Circo Voado
 r. When the Afrolicious party activates on the soundsystem at Mighty 
 there is no chance for the club to stand still, everyone is guaranteed
  to be dancing! Rounding out the bill will be OM Records J Boogie (Om
  Records) and Izzy*Wise.Afrolicious is San Francisco based collective 
 who perform live with a ten piece band and also as a dj duo with live 
 percussionists and MCs.Afrolicious has established itself as both one 
 of the most legendary weekly parties in San Francisco, and of the top 
 live/electronic bands on the scene. Started as a weekly dance party fe
 aturing DJ's and brothers Pleasuremaker and Señor Oz alongside percus
 sionists, MC's and horn players, and an amazing crowd from day one, ov
 er the years it has evolved as founding DJ/Producer Pleausremaker (Joe
  McGuire) alongside brother Señor Oz (Oz McGuire) hooked up with some
  of the most exciting personalities in the Bay Area music scene and st
 arted writing original music under the alias Afrolicious. Around 2010 
 the live Pleasuremaker band started including some of this new 'Afroli
 cious' material and added more of the percussionists and vocalists fro
 m the weekly party to form what is now the Afrolicious band. Between t
 heir weekly party and sound system shows that involve the brothers DJi
 ng alongside live percussion, they also have a 8-12 piece live band th
 at emphasizes the organic elements, instrumentation, and energy of a l
 ive ensemble combined with club heavy beats and textures the weekly pa
 rty has come to be known for. Afrolicious band and sound system have 
 performed at such legendary venues as Red Rocks, Sierra Nevada World M
 usic Festival, Electric Forest Festival, Snow Globe, Burningman, Sea o
 f Dreams, The Independent, Great American Music Hall, Elbo Room in San
