 assist Wendell Rand (Pleasuremaker, Tracorum, Youssoupha Siddibe), lea
 ds the cast off with his muscular, low end dance grooves. Tasteful, pr
 ecise and very funky drummer, Paul Oliphant,(The Frail, Funky Miracle)
  is a serious study in afrobeat/afrofunk drum work.Candelaria: Formed 
 in 2009, Candelaria has taken their version of Cumbia-dub and moved da
 nce floors all over the West Coast. Combining the irresistible grooves
  of Colombian Cumbia with the psychedelic dub sthat is both new and fr
 esh yet familiar at the same time. After performing this past summer a
 t major festivals such as the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival and L
 ightning in a Bottle and touring from Portland Oregon to Ensenada Mexi
 co, Candelaria is currently in the studio with Grammy award winning pr
 oducer Greg Landau finishing up their second record. Combining the irr
 esistible grooves of Colombian Cumbia with the psychedelic dub style t
 echniques of the Jamaican studio masters, Candelaria has created a uni
