“Special Disco Version”
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Come celebrate as Mighty debuts the west coast “Special
Disco Version” with Pat Mahoney and James Murphy. Special Disco Version premiere’s
Thursday August 7th. Doors are at 9pm.
James Murphy and Pat Mahoney, members of LCD Soundsystem and duo behind an epic
Fabric mix started a regular DJ night in New York City called Special Disco Version at
100 Lafayette (formerly Santa’s Party House). James Murphy and Pat Mahoney gained
notoriety in 2002 with the release of LCD Soundsystems first single “Losing my Edge”
which was followed by 2005‘s critically acclaimed self-titled album LCD Soundsystem.
As Mighty hosts the disco infused party, James and Pat will be spinning nothing but disco
cuts straight from vinyl sure to induce “rug cutting” on the dance floor. With custom
visuals by AC (Donuts!) Mighty will convert into a classic discotheque fresh for 2008.
