Chuck D and Flavor Flav have essentially been on hiatus since Flav filed a lawsuit against his Public Enemy counterpart and former Bomb Squad producer Gary “G-Wiz” Rinaldo in September 2017. Aside from a brief reunion at Terminator X’s recent wedding, Public Enemy hasn’t performed any shows.
But that’s not slowing the P.E. machine down. According to an Instagram post from DJ Lord, Public Enemy, De La Soul and Wu-Tang Clan will join forces for the Gods Of Rap tour alongside DJ Premier. Flav, however, will not be involved.
“’Consider Yourselves Warned,” the Public Enemy DJ captioned a video announcement. “Hip Hop Gods @wearedelasoul @publicenemyftp @wutangclan & @djpremier hit the UK together for the #GodsOfRap tour this May.”
For now, the Gods Of Rap Tour is only scheduled for three dates in the U.K. The brief run kicks off on May 10 at London’s SSE Arena Wembley, hits Manchester Arena on May 11 and wraps up on May 12 at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
Tickets go on general sale at 10 a.m. PT next Friday (January 25)
