Long-running series Jeopardy might be down with hip-hop culture, but not all contestants are familiar with the genre that turns 50 next August. During a recent episode of Jeopardy, contestant Halley Ryherd was given a clue from temporary host Mayim Bialik from the category titled “Chuck D, Times 3.”
“In the 1990’s Chuck D began fighting the power in this hip-hop group with Flavor Flav, a man who always knew what time it was,” the question read.
The answer might have been obvious to hip-hop heads, but not to Ryherd who answered “The Funky Bunch.”
