Listen to Miles’ 1985 lost album.
In 1985, jazz legend Miles Davis left Columbia Records after 30 years. He joined Warner Bros. Records. and started recording an album called Rubberband with producers Randy Hall and Zane Giles.
The album was eventually scrapped and he started recording another LP: Tutu, which was released in 1986. For 30 years, the songs recorded for the Rubberband album went unreleased. Until now.
Rhino has released the entire 11-song Rubberband album (this comes after they released the four-track EP last year). The album was finished by the original producers, Hall and Giles. And the beautiful abstract red, orange, yellow cover from Davis himself.
