It’s been a year since Lil Dicky and Chris Brown’s body-swapping single “Freaky Friday” (and even longer since Dicky’s debut album, Professional Rapper). However, the rapper celebrates Earth Day with a star-studded, animated video for, well, “Earth.”
Produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat, the video features over thirty (animated) cameo appearances: Snoop Dogg (as a weed plant), Kevin Hart (as Kanye West), Justin Bieber (as a monkey), Ariana Grande (as a zebra), Wiz Khalifa (as a skunk), Leonardo DiCaprio (as himself), and more.
“It’s all about saving the Earth. There’s an environment crisis going on right now,” Dicky said to Ellen DeGeneres. “We have 12 years to completely change the way we do so many things on Earth or the damage is irreversible.”
Even better? A portion of the profits from the song, music video, and merchandise will be allocated to several nonprofit organizations selected by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF), who are “helping communities transition to 100% renewable energy, protecting critical ecosystems and wildlife, and supporting regenerative farming practices:” the Quick Response Fund for Nature, the Shark Conservation Fund, the Solutions Project, the Global Greengrants Fund and the Carbon Cycle Institute.
