Masta Ace and Marco Polo released their joint album A Breukelen Story last November. To coincide with the project, the two Hip Hop stalwarts have gathered several prominent cultural figures to tell their own “Breukelen” stories, including Roxanne Shanté, Rah Digga and Sadat X.
In the latest installment, Michael Rapaport describes what life was like growing up in the New York City borough. He looks back on the teenage joys of ballin’ in Brownsville back in the day.
“Who knew Mike Rapaport was out in my hood playing ball and in the mix like that?” Masta Ace tells HipHopDX. “I used to watch all those guys playing out there when I was coming up. Pearl, World and those dudes were legends in that park. The same park where I first connected with Hip Hop culture.”
