D-Nice Breaks Instagram Less Than 1 Hour Into His Virtual Party

So many people are having virtual concerts and performances… but none have broke Instagram.

Well… not until D-Nice started his Friday evening “Homeschoolin’: Social Distancing Dance Party.”

About a half an hour in the digital dance party, stars, and influencers like J- Lo, Gabby Union, Will Packer, MC Lyte, Everlast, Posdunous, Sheri Riley, Shanti Das, Blue Williams, Erick Sermon, AJ Calloway, Tanika Ray and more were rocking out in the Virtual VIP section. At some point there was an HBCU shout out, with Howard and Hampton holding court, Morehouse being flossing like they are the number one HBCU all-male school that they are, FAMU rocking the spot and women of Spelman flooding the comment sections with blue hearts (blue and red to be exact #BlueElephants #HK).

D-Nice rocked some classic r&b jams and some old school hits. People were delighted to hear Heavy D and Phife (of Tribe Called Quest) responding with the appropriate teardrops or RIP. That did not kill the vibe. Quite the contrary, nothing but love and positivity was in the air.

And then the comments stopped.

No one could see any new comments or read them. While you could still hear the joints playing, the party was on hold. Insta-Live shut down. Essentially, the celebrity record spinner broke the feature on the social media platform… with only 3,000 people on. D-Nice had to shut down and start back up and within 25 minutes later, all 3000 was back jamming.

This was the case all night long. He DJ for 5 hours!

Attorney Matt Middleton joked, “Way over the capacity today, who’s at the door?” to which his Howard and Omega Psi Phi brother, AJ Calloway responded, “Let everyone in!” Yes, let them in.

And they came.

Uncle Luke, Russell Simmons, Diddy, Dapper Dan, Rob Morgan, Mary J. Blige, DJ Khaled, Drake, T.I., Kelly Rowland, Common, Black Thought, Queen Latifah, Traci Ellis Ross, DJ Premier, Swizz Beatz, Steve Stoute, Champ Rockwell, Yvette Noel Schure, Erykah Badu, Fat Joe, Jay Electronica, PNB Rock, Nile Rogers, Fonzworth Bentley, Marisa Tomei, Victor Cruz, Karruenche Tran, Ciara, Angie Martinez, Groove Theory’s Bryce, Tank, Cam’ron, Ludacris, Fabolous, Dorian Missick, DJ Don Demarco, Jada Kiss, Kwamé, Bresha Webb, Jermaine Dupri, Vanessa Williams, El Debarge, DJ Aktive, Mad Skillz, Lee Daniels, Affion Crockett, Ro James, D-Dot Angeletii, James Lopez, Mark Pitts, Kenny Burns, Tuma Basa, Tika Sumpter, Marlon Wayans, Lauren London, Lonnie Love, Dallas Austin, Steve Lobel, June Ambrose, April Walker, Just Blaze, Kangol Kid from UTFO, Biggs Burke, Naomi Campbell, Roland Martin, Jayson Jackson, DJ Trauma, Lil Jon, Mike Kyser, Dule Hill, Marsai Martin, Lance Gross, Anthony Hamilton, Marcella Precise, and Monifa are a part of the crowd that bum-rushed the dancefloor the second time around.
