Cypress Hill is preparing to release their first album in nearly four years.
The LA rap legends announced, Back In Black, a project entirely produced by Detroit beatmaker Black Milk, will drop on March 18th, via MNRK, setting into motion a very active and visible 2022. “Bye Bye,” a new single from the project was released alongside with announcement late last night. It follows two cuts, “Open Ya Mind” and “Champion Sound,” which will also be featured on Back In Black.
Along with the new album, Cypress Hill has unveiled an extensive 25-date touring schedule that will carry them straight through the sping, commencing on the day of their album release in Rio Rancho, New Mexico and closing out on June 18th in Chula Vista, California. The group will be joined by Ice Cube for the marathon-launching date. Other shows will feature support from Slipknot and Ho99o9. As if that weren’t enough, the trio is also readying the release of a documentary on their music and legacy. A firm release date has yet to be set for that, but it seems we can expect it to arrive at some point this spring.
