Puerto Rican rapper and Saturday Night Live host Bad Bunny mocked right-wing backlash to his upcoming Spanish-only Super Bowl halftime show, and started the countdown clock for anyone who doesn’t know the language.
Bad Bunny, who closed out SNL season 50 in May as musical guest, was recently named the halftime performer at Super Bowl LX in February. His show will be solely in Spanish—a decision which angered many on the right and spurred Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to warn that ICE agents will be at the Santa Clarita, California venue.
“I have the responsibility for making sure everybody goes to the Super Bowl, has the opportunity to enjoy it and to leave, and that’s what America’s about,” Noem said on The Benny Show. “So yeah, we’ll be all over that place. We’re going to enforce the law.”
