DESCRIPTION:The CAAM Salons at this year's San Francisco International
  Asian American Film Festival are intimate symposium-style lively gath
 erings. Featured artists working in the different mediums of food, mus
 ic and games will demonstrate their creative process and storytelling 
 abilities while they makes something with the audience. \nSFIAAFF has 
 long celebrated the contributions of Asian American artists to the fab
 ric of musical life. In the Groove Salon, we bring together two artist
 s to go beyond performance to talk life and shop. DJ Neil Armstrong an
 d HOTTUB meet in conversation/collaboration to create a mixtape with t
 he audience. They are from different parts of a musical spectrum but b
 oth are innovative musicians that challenge the boundaries of hip-hop.
  During the salon, they will play samples of their work, speak about t
 heir experiences as musicians, and give the attendees a taste of the c
 reative process. This is a participatory event, so come prepared to as
