  Nielsen Raiding (Santa Cruz) GrimeCity (SF) ... Songs for Snakes have
  reconfigured their sound and line-up, Nielsen Raiding are raising the
  flag for the emergent Santa Cruz punk scene, and even at their young 
 age, Grimecity is steady building tunnels into underground SF music sc
 ene.  Songs For Snakes was formed in 2005 with a vision of creating sl
 ightly melancholy indie/punk rock in the vein of Jawbreaker/Husker Du.
  Founding Singer/guitarist Bill Taylor formerly of Peppercorn, Shoehou
 se and bassist Nick Waters played in Bang Bang before joining SFS. Thi
 s will be the record release party for their album entitled “Charcoa
 l Heather\".  Also playing, Nielsen Raiding, a young crew from Santa C
 ruz. Aware of their musical roots, “S.C. also has a lineage of punk 
 rock and the three of us are glad to put it back on the map. It ain't 
 easy being a three piece in a world of music that is processed and ove
 rdone so we bring what is real back to a punk rock trio. Oh, and we wi
