 ng reggae bands, debut at Pier 23    Pure Roots: Pure Roots produces a
 uthentic reggae music, capturing a spiritual sound, emphasizing strong
  melodies and heavenly harmonies. Pure Roots' talent reaches into the 
 modern age, with artists Andrew \"Blood\" Reid (Son of Junior Reid) an
 d with Jeff Allgrove inside the control booth. It's Roots Reggae music
  that's being pushed to new limits.  Rising out of Santa Cruz, Califor
 nia, USA, Pure Roots formed in early 2007, with members from the Emman
 uel Selassie band, and in the the studio with Junior \"One Blood\" Rei
 d. They released their first single \"Jah The Highest\" and the dub re
 mix \"Jah The Dubbest\" in January 2012, featuring Junior Reid and Bri
 ana Kai, recorded and produced by Right Vibes Productions with Jeff Al
 lgrove in the ESI Sound Studio with JR Records.  In April 2012 Andrew 
 Reid & the Pure Roots band completed a 7 city tour with Daniel \"Bamba
 ata\" Marley. In 2012 Pure Roots performed at The 17th Annual Monterey
  Bay Reggae Festival with a 8 piece band featuring a 3 piece horn sect
 ion. Pure Roots has shared the stage with international artists such a
 s Black Uhuru, The Abyssinians, Michael Rose and many more. Pure Roots
  is currently in the studio working on the album \"Youth Rising,\" fea
