 nal songs from Peru.\nAfro-Peruvian singer Marina Lavalle is one of 
 the most distinctive performers in the Bay Area and one of the great v
 oices of modern Peruvian music. An important figure in the resurgence 
 of Afro-Peruvian music, Marina nurtures a carefully crafted blend of c
 ontemporary and traditional sounds. Accompanied by guitar, base and Pe
 ruvian cajón, she renders a soulful and vibrant interpretation of an 
 array of rhythms in her musical heritage such as: Landó, Festejo, and
  Zamacueca, just to name a few.\n \nBraulio Barrera is a singer, com
 poser, dancer and percussionist. At a young age he discovered his pass
 ion for music. He taught himself how to play various percussion instru
 ments, such as the cajon, bongo, congas, and other African drums. He h
 as composed jingles for various Peruvian commercials and joined Acuare
 la Criolla (1992-1996) a musical group and percussion school inspired 
 on Peruvian Cajon experts Eusebio Sirio Pititi and Ronny Campos. He be
 came part of Peruvian singer Cecilia Barraza's ensemble, where he trav
 eled throughout Europe, Costa Rica, and the U.S.  Since moving to the
  U.S. in 2000, he has performed and played for various Peruvian dance 
 companies and Salsa bands. In 2004, Braulio contributed to the Motorcy
 cle Diaries soundtrack and in 2007 he performed salsa for NBC's traile
