 s, Navarasa’s multilayered, multilingual productions inspire, engage
  and entertain audiences around the world. Original movement vocabular
 y created by choreographers Aparna Sindhoor and Anil Natyaveda along w
 ith theatrical narratives designed by S M Raju, Navarasa Dance Theater
 ’s work is specific and universal at the same time.\n ENCOUNTER is b
 ased on a story about an indigenous woman, Dopdi, inspired by Magsaysa
 y award winning writer Mahasweta Devi’s work and adapted for the sta
 ge by S M Raju and Aparna Sindhoor. ENCOUNTER explores imageries from 
 the history and the world around whether it is the Native American his
 tory or indigenous peoples history elsewhere or a modern day occurrenc
