  is a dance company based in Xicano/Mexica Tradition, Voguing, and Con
 temporary Dance Practice.\n \nCuauhtémoc Peranda (Xicano/Meixca/Azt
 ec, Mescalero Apache, & Two-Spirit) is a choreographer, dancer and sch
 olar from Santa Cruz, CA. His dance training primarily comes from Tezc
 atlipoca Danza Azteca, Tlaloc-Chalchihuitlicue Danza Azteca, Stanford 
 University, and Mills College. Since the age of 15, Cuauhtémoc has ta
 ught traditional Aztec dance to his communities and now continues to t
 each Aztec dance and gives lessons in voguing, and modern dance forms.
  Cuauhtémoc current artistic interest is the examination of Modern Da
 nce’s relationship to the “Native American Indian”, and the unad
 orned communicative power of focused movement: Fierceness. He currentl
 y works as Artistic Director and Manager of his own company, Cuauhtemo
 c Peranda Mitote Dance Company, and is the Director of Choreography fo
 r Santa Cruz Chamber Ballet. When not a practicing artist, he works in
  administration for the Indian Health Center of Santa Clara Valley. H
 e graduated with a BA from Stanford University, and an MFA in Dance fr
